Engaged to deliver a new bespoke reception desk for Austrades new Barangaroo offices, our design team and craftsmen delivered something special. Using the old world events of Milingimbi and the stories of Macassan traders visiting Arnhem Land throughout history as inspiration, The Trade-Routes desk was conceptualised.

An elegant but robust construction, the highlight of this desk is the hand carved front façade. Boasting a map of the world in its entirety, our craftsmen have delicately etched old world sailing trade-routes across the desk. To add a special touch of Milingimbi and Yolngu culture the team has accented the known sailing routes of the Macassan traders into the design.
