Back in March of this year, ABC travelled to Milingimbi Island to learn about the Manapan story. The ABC team were able to see first-hand the visionary work Manapan does each day in our Workshop, from going out bush to source timbre, to placing the finishing touches on sophisticated tables adorned with intricate hand-carved designs.
On Sunday May 21, ABC aired the Manapan story on their Landline Program, showcasing Manapan’s beautiful pieces and talented craftsmen. This program provides special insight into what work is involved day to day for the craftsmen, and our commitment to running a sustainable and self-sufficient business that is embedded in the community.
