Manapan Academy

Building Sustainable Futures

Through our partnership with Bukaway, the Manapan Academy provides training across diverse creative fields for local community members in Nhulunbuy. From fashion and jewellery to furniture making, graduates combine traditional creative talents with contemporary skills in pathways to meaningful employment.

Building Skills Through Partnership

Bukaway is a community-driven project supported by not-for-profit organisation The Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation (ALPA).

Based in picturesque Nhulunbuy in Australia’s Northern Territory, Bukaway empowers members of our local community to share their skills and stories through their unique artistry.

From t-shirts to woodworking to jewellery and so much more, each product is made on country and with pride.

The Bukaway mission is focused on training, developing skills, creating jobs, and developing a sustainable, Yolngu-led enterprise which reinvests in our communities and our region.
